FAQs
Have questions? We have answers
Expert advice from our nutritional therapists is just a click or call away.
Can I take Creatine Complex if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend using Creatine Complex during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Although Creatine has been studied throughout pregnancy, there is limited human evidence to confirm its appropriateness. The formula also includes AstraGin® which is also contraindicated during these specific life stages.
Is Creatine safe to take for daily use?
Yes, Creatine is one of the most extensively studied supplements and is considered safe for most people. We have selected Creavitalis® Creatine for its exceptional purity and safety, as it undergoes rigorous testing. However, if you have any further questions or concerns, we encourage you to book a free consultation with us.
Is your Creatine Complex third-party tested?
Yes, every ingredient included within our formula undergoes independent third-party testing.
Will this Creatine Complex lead to water retention and bloating?
Individual responses to Creatine can vary, but bloating is typically associated with higher dosages. Creatine Complex provides a 5g daily serving of Creatine—a well-studied amount that is typically well tolerated within the standard 3–5g range. The narrative that creatine inevitably causes bloating and water retention is outdated particularly for women. Evidence firmly supports that creatine is a safe, and highly effective supplement with a low risk of adverse gastrointestinal or hydration -related side effects.
Do I need a loading phase?
No, a loading phase is optional. Research shows you can achieve the same long-term results with a consistent daily dose of 5g. Skipping the traditional loading period in favour of a daily maintenance dose of 3 to 5 grams is now widely recommended. While it may take about three weeks to fully saturate your muscle creatine levels, the physiological outcomes are the same. Our Creatine Complex provides 4.4g of Creatine monohydrate per serving, making it an ideal choice for your daily maintenance protocol.
How do Creatine and Creatine Monohydrate differ?
Creatine is a naturally occurring compound synthesised by the liver, kidneys, and pancreas from three amino acids. Roughly 95% is stored in skeletal muscle, with the remaining amount distributed in other tissues like the brain. This is the core molecule responsible for regenerating cellular ATP to provide energy throughout the body. Creatine monohydrate refers to a creatine molecule that is chemically bound to a water molecule. This variation is the most common form found in commercial supplements and is the most extensively studied in scientific research.
What is AstraGin®, and what benefits does it offer in this blend?
AstraGin® is a highly consistent and effective botanical extract sourced from the roots of Astragalus and Panax notoginseng. It is backed by rigorous safety protocols and 25 years of research, including 3 published human clinical trials, 16 in-vitro studies, and 8 in-vivo studies. This carefully selected blend reflects our commitment to excellence, offering comprehensive gut support by supporting nutrient uptake and bioavailability while exerting a positive impact on the gut microbiome. Together with Vitamin C in our formula, it also helps support immune function. Furthermore, one study highlighted its positive effect on inflammatory markers. While further extensive research is required, these initial findings are extremely promising. To learn more, please visit our dedicated science page.
When is the best time to take the Creatine Complex?
Daily consistency is essential, so incorporate it into your routine every day, even on rest days, whenever suits you best. For those who exercise, consuming it 30 minutes prior to a session can help support high-intensity performance. Alternatively, post-workout intake—preferably alongside a balanced meal rich in complex carbohydrates, protein, and antioxidants—may help assist with recovery and help replenish glycogen stores.
Is Creatine beneficial for older adults?
Yes it is. Evidence shows that Creatine may support muscle mass, particularly in adults over 55, when combined with resistance training. We recommend booking a free consultation with one of our nutrition experts for any other advice you may need.
Can men take Creatine Complex?
Yes, men can take Creatine Complex. Provided there are no contraindications with existing medications or underlying health conditions, it is entirely suitable for them. They are also welcome to schedule a quick free call with one of our nutrition experts for tailored guidance on dosing, product pairing, or overall efficacy.
