Can I take this whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

Can I take this supplement for PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)?
PCOS sufferers commonly exhibit insulin resistance, impaired glucose metabolism, hypertension and metabolic syndrome, among other concerns. Weight Management Support contains key nutrients like Zinc, which aids macronutrient metabolism, and Chromium, which helps maintain normal blood glucose. It also includes Metabolaid®, which is scientifically shown to support optimal metabolic function and fatty acid metabolism. As a result, this supplement may be beneficial for women with PCOS symptoms at various life stages. Could Weight Management Support affect my digestion and daily rhythm?
The formula, in fact, contains beetroot and apple pectin, which provide sources of soluble fibre to support digestive function and overall wellbeing. It also contains Food-Grown® nutrients, which are not only kinder on digestion but are as close to their original food form as possible, so they’re better absorbed and better retained. Do I need to take a multinutrient alongside this product?
Weight Management Support contains an array of vitamins and minerals to support the nutrients that may often be lost during a weight loss programme or restricted eating period. However, a multinutrient or other food supplements may provide additional support depending on your individual needs.
Is Metabolaid® safe to take on a long-term basis?
Metabolaid® is generally considered safe to take long-term; however, like any food supplement, we always recommend speaking with one of our nutritional experts.
When is the best time for me to take Weight Management Support?
It can be taken at any time of the day that suits you the most. For best outcomes, we recommend that you take your dose approximately 20-30 minutes before a meal. If you’re taking medication and have been told they can be safely taken alongside your supplements, we recommend spacing out your medication and Weight Management Support by 2 hours.
Can I take Weight Management Support if I am currently on weight loss injections?
Yes, you can. However, we always recommend speaking with your health professional and booking a consultation with one of our Nutritional Therapists so we can explore your individual journey and provide tailored advice.
If I stay on Weight Management Support, will I continue to lose weight?
As for any dietary intervention, be it supplements, dietary changes or exercise, it’s common for consumers to reach a plateau in their weight transition. We always advise speaking with our expert nutritional team to understand your personal circumstances and steer you from there.
Can I take this whilst breastfeeding?
No, we recommend you keep taking our Food-Grown® Pregnancy supplements and/or Breastfeeding Support to achieve the correct daily dosage of specific nutrients to support you through this special life phase. Once you have finished breastfeeding, you can then move on to taking our Food-Grown® Daily Multi Nutrient.
What is the difference between this and your Women’s Food-Grown® Daily Multi Nutrient 45+?
This formula has been expertly formulated to reflect the change in nutrient demands of young women (up to the age of 44) under high physiological and psychological demand, whereas our Women’s Food-Grown® Daily Multi Nutrient 45+ has been formulated with the specific nutrient demands of women over the age of 45 in mind.
Do I need to take extra Vitamin D with this?
This is safe to combine with our Food-Grown Vitamin D, and you may choose to supplement with extra depending on the time of year. Supplementation of Vitamin D is officially recommended during autumn and winter, however if you are unwell, staying indoors for extended periods of time, elderly, have dark skin or are pregnant or breast-feeding, you will need to supplement all year round.
Can I take this whilst trying to conceive?
This is safe to take whilst trying to conceive, however it does not contain the right level of nutrients needed for optimum fertility, so unless you are supplementing with other nutrients we recommend taking our Food-Grown Fertility instead.
Can my teenage daughter take this?
Teenagers have different physical and emotional demands to adults, requiring higher levels of certain nutrients as they grow and develop, so we recommend our Food-Grown Daily Multi Nutrient for Teengirls for up to 18year olds.
Can I take this with other products in your range containing Ashwagandha?
Yes, you can.
Can I take this whilst pregnant?
No, we recommend taking our Pregnancy + New Mother Support when you are pregnant, as this has been specifically formulated to contain all the officially recommended nutrients needed during pregnancy.
Can I take this with your KSM-66® Ashwagandha Plus?
Yes, you can.
Do I need to take this if I already eat oily fish?
The recommendation is to eat at least 2 portions of oily fish per week, anything less and supplementation should be considered to support your nutritional requirements.
Can I take this if I’m pregnant?
Yes, our formula does not include Vitamin A or any toxins, so it is safe to take during pregnancy. We would recommend taking our Pregnancy + New Mother Omega 3 which has been formulated specifically for those life changing four trimesters.
Does this Omega 3 contain Vitamin A?
No, it does not.
Does this contain PCBSs or any other toxins or heavy metals?
No, our fish oil has been independently tested and certified to be free of any toxic substances. Our certification exceeds the official EU & UK requirements, so you can rest assured that our formula is exceptionally pure.
Can I take this product if I am trying to conceive or undergoing IVF?
Yes, it is absolutely safe to take during preconception (including assisted fertility) and in fact is often recommended by experts for both female and male partners during this time.
Is this a cod liver oil or does it contain oil extracted from the liver of the fish?
No, the Omega 3 source is from sustainable Alaskan Pollock fish and does not contain any oil from the liver of the fish. Our formula does not include Vitamin A and has been independently tested and certified to be free of any toxic substances. Our certification exceeds the official EU & UK requirements, so you can rest assured that our formula is exceptionally pure.
