Nutritional claims: DHA maternal intake contributes to the normal development of the eye and brain of the foetus and breastfed infants. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake for omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg DHA and EPA. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.'

Do I need to take this if I already eat oily fish?

When pregnant, it is officially recommended that you limit your intake of oily fish due to the risk of pollutants (toxins), please see NHS guidelines for these recommendations. Midwives and doctors sometimes caution the use of supplemented Omega 3, due to the risk of intaking Vitamin A - but our formula is 100 % free of Vitamin A and safe to use during pregnancy and after birth. Babies in the womb require a supply of Omega 3 essential fatty acid, as it cannot be made in the body by either the mother or the baby. It's especially important for brain, eye and cognitive development.

Can I take this if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes, our formula has been specifically designed for all four trimesters and does not include Vitamin A or any toxins, so it is safe to take during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Does this contain PCBSs or any other toxins or heavy metals?
