Description

There are times when your body may need extra iron, e.g. after your period, especially if menstruation is heavy. During pre-conception, pregnancy or postnatally and for teen girls. A gentle iron supplement, Food-Grown® Iron Plus contains Vitamin C to increase Iron absorption.

Nutritional claims: Contains Iron which contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and Vitamin C which contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Nutrient-enhanced Yeast (providing Iron, Molybdenum and Riboflavin), Citrus pulp (providing Vitamin C and Bioflavonoids), Vegetable cellulose (capsule shell) and Heat-treated brown rice powder.

Cautionary advice: If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision, consult your doctor before taking any food supplement. This product contains iron which, if taken in excess, may harm very young children. Keep our of sight and reach of children. We advise taking your supplements a minimum of 2 hours after taking any medication. Do not take if seal broken.

Free from added: Artificial colours, sugars, flavourings & preservatives. Contains no live yeast at time of manufacture. Kosher and suitable for Vegans.

1 capsule per day, morning or night.

I noticed a colour variation in my iron capsules, is this normal?
As a naturally derived product, you may observe natural variation in colour over the lifetime of our Iron Supplement or between different batches if you have used our Iron before. This can range from light Beige through to a Dark Brown / Black colouration. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality of the product.
Is this Iron constipating?
No. Our Iron is made from food, so it’s gentle on digestion and does not cause any changes to your bowel movements.
Can I take this alongside your other products containing Iron?
Yes. We recommend speaking to our Nutritional Team first, who can advise on what would be most suitable for you.
Is this vegan?
Yes. In fact, if you are following a vegan diet we recommend taking this supplement as you may need to top up your Iron levels.
Is this a heme Iron?
No, our Food-Grown Iron is a plant Iron, not a heme iron. Natural food Iron contains all the enzymes and nutrients needed for transportation and absorption, making our formula equally as effective as other heme Irons found on the market, but easier to absorb.
Can children take this formula?
Yes. Iron is crucial at different stages of a child's development, and supplementation can therefore support their requirements. The recommended levels are found in the Daily Multi Nutrient for Children.
