I am healthy and eat well, do I really need to take supplements?
The increase of intensive farming methods across the world has sadly led to our soil becoming far less nutrient dense, so even the freshest organic fruit and vegetables are deficient in the vitamins and minerals we need. Supplements are particularly important for busy lifestyles or when we are run-down, stressed or simply have less time to eat a fresh and balanced meal. They also help replenish our nutrient levels commonly affected by the intake of medications, alcohol and pollution.
Why can't I get all of this in one capsule?
We only use natural Food-Grown® nutrients and botanicals in our formulas and they do take up more space than the synthetic versions. It would be wonderful if we could fit everything into one capsule but we will never compromise on quality, and effectiveness, to save money on packaging. One top tip... our capsules are easy to open so you can add them to smoothies if you prefer. The Pure Strength Omega 3 comes in tiny, easy to swallow soft gels, to help maintain freshness and purity.
Why do your supplements have a smell?
It's nothing to worry about. Our supplements use nutrients grown from food so that your body recognises and absorbs them better. Independent studies have shown Food-Grown nutrients to be over 9x more effective than synthetic nutrients - that are used by the majority of the supplement industry. The natural nutrients and botanicals we use have a smell, just like you'd expect from real fruit and vegetables. If you have taken supplements in the past that have bright or perfect colouring, and/or have no smell, it is highly likely they have been made using synthetic nutrients and a chemical process.
When should I take my supplements?
Because our supplements are made from Food-Grown® nutrients you can take them at any time of the day, with or without food.
Can I take this whilst pregnant?
Whilst it is not unsafe to consume in pregnancy, the doses of nutrients are not suitable for pregnancy. Once pregnant, please change to our Food-Grown® Pregnancy & New Mother Support. This has been specifically formulated to contain all the officially recommended nutrients needed during pregnancy and the postpartum stages. Please contact our Nutrition team for more support on what to take in pregnancy, post birth and breastfeeding.
Can I take this while I am breastfeeding?
You can if looking to conceive, but we suggest you speak to our Nutrition team to discuss the dual needs for breastfeeding and conception to make sure you are intaking the right nutrients for both different situations.
Does this give me a daily dose of Vitamin D?
Yes it does give you the minimum requirement for this life stage. You may need to supplement more during the darker, winter months (between October and spring). Our biologically active form of Food-Grown® Vitamin D3 is scientifically shown to be 100% more effectively absorbed**.**The results of a scientific study show that when compared to leading high street Vitamin D supplements in tablet form, the Food-Grown® Vitamin D in our capsules was 100% more effectively absorbed. In addition, our capsules maintained a greater concentration for longer than the leading high street spray.
Can I take this with your Food-Grown® Immune Support?
