Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium

Genus of bacteria have been shown to improve immune function by increasing production of immune-mediators used to neutralise harmful bacteria. Clinical trials also show that probiotics may decrease the incidence of respiratory tract infection and dental caries in children.

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus

Has been shown to reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea, improve stool consistency during antibiotic therapy, and enhance the immune response after vaccination.

Lactobacillus Casei

Has been shown to improve immune defences and reduce diarrohea associated with antibiotic use and the common bacterial infection C Difficile.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus

A dominant specie in the gut and should represent the largest population of beneficial bacteria in babies and infants. It has been shown to improve bowel regularity, lactose digestion, decrease the incidence of infant diarrohea and inhibit certain yeasts and moulds in the gut.

Bifidobacterium Infantis

Infantis is found in breast milk. It has been shown to inhibit pathogens in the gut and support the immune system and production of vitamins in the gut.

Lactobacillus Bulgaricus

Is a bacteria in the digestive tract of infants shown to neutralize toxins and kill harmful bacteria by producing its own natural antibiotics.

Lactobacillus Reuteri

This beneficial species has been shown to reduce the incidence of infant diarrohea. It has also been used as an effective measure in infant colic. Babies taking Lactobacillus reuteri experienced a reduction in the symptoms of colic greater than the commonly used simethicone.

Streptococcus thermophilus

Is a strain of bacteria used to support gastrointestinal disorders and lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance may contribute to the development of colic and infant reflux.
