Green Smoothie

Ingredients

Protein Powder such as hemp or rice
½ an avocado
1 teaspoon coconut butter
2 tablespoons blueberries, blackberries or raspberries (fresh or frozen)
Handful of leafy greens of your choice
Fresh ground cinnamon or vanilla powder to taste. If you need it to be a little sweeter, add 1 dessert spoon of manuka honey or a local honey
Almond milk to cover

This green smoothie is a glass of goodness - providing protein, monounsaturated fat, antioxidants and many more nutrients, it's a brilliant way to start the day. If you are a vegetarian, a smoothie like this containing plenty of leafy green veg is an easy way to ensure you are consuming enough iron in your diet.

Method:

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend. Drink for a great start to the day or as a snack.
