Our expertly formulated Food-Grown® Immune Support is a powerful blend of biomass mycelial mushrooms, N Acetyl Cysteine, Elderberry and Food-Grown vitamins and minerals to support the normal function of the immune system and promote our natural defences against infection. Our unique product includes the pioneering process of mycellial biomass to produce our mushrooms. This intensifies the immune supporting properties of beta-glucans, polysaccharides and antioxidants, enzymes Super Oxide Dismutase and glutathione peroxidase naturally found in mushroom complexes.

Mycelial biomass produced Grifola Frondosa (Maitake Mushroom)

We use the pioneering process of mycelial biomass to produce our Maitake. This is created by culturing the maitake mushroom in a brown rice substrate to provide an intensely concentrated, full spectrum of the active metabolites of maitake mushrooms. These metabolites include antimicrobial compounds, polysaccharides (including beta glucan’s and arabinoxylan), proteins, fatty acids, arabinoxylans, enzymes Super Oxide Dismutase and digestive enzymes such as proteases, lipases etc. These metabolites have been shown to be active at a cellular level.

Mycelial biomass produced Pleurotus oestreatus (Oyster Mushroom)

We also use the pioneering process of mycelial biomass to produce our Oyster mushrooms in this product. This process intensifies the immune supporting properties of the mushroom, increasing its content of immune supporting beta-glucans and polysaccharides. It has been shown to increase activity of antioxidant enzymes including Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase as well as support levels of Vitamin C and E. These cutting edge mycelial extracts are shown to be effective at modulating the immune response and exerting an inhibitory effect against the influenza virus.

N Acetyl Cysteine – NAC

Is a precursor to the antioxidant glutathione peroxidase necessary to modulate the immune and inflammatory pathways. NAC promotes the breakup of mucus contributing to the improvement of conditions such as bronchitis and influenza.

Elderberry extract

Provides a high level of antioxidant anthocyanidins, bioflavanoids and polyphenols traditionally used to support the immune system and positively influence cell function.

Vitamin C

Contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue as well as the normal function of the nervous and immune system. In addition, Vitamin C aids iron absorption. Our Food-Grown® Vitamin C has shown to be 1210% more bioavailable than the commonly used synthetic isolated ascorbic acid.

Vitamin D

Contributes to normal function of the immune system and deficiency is now being associated with many inflammatory diseases. Our Food-Grown® Vitamin D provides Vitamin D1, D2 and D3 in the bio-active form rather than the storage form found in many synthetic supplements. This was confirmed by Functional Medicine pioneer Dr Bland at the Linus Pauling Institute.

Zinc

Contributes to the normal function of the immune system. It is an essential mineral for cells of the immune system and deficiency affects the ability of disease fighting T cells to function optimally. Our Food-Grown® Zinc has been shown to be 75% better absorbed and retained by the body than synthetic forms such as zinc sulphate or gluconate.

Selenium

Contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Our food-Grown® Selenium has been shown to be 22% better absorbed and retained than many other forms of selenium.

GTF Chromium

Our Food-Grown® GTF Chromium is the more biologically active form helping to regulate blood sugar levels and contribute to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels needed for optimum function of the immune system. Blood sugar stability is required to support immune defences Studies have shown that blood glucose control improved by 57% with those taking our GTF Chromium.

Beta-Carotene

Has been shown to enhance immune cell function thereby supporting defences against infection. Our Food-Grown® Beta-Carotene also provides Vitamin A. Vitamin A contributes to the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in protecting mucus membranes that can become aggravated during infections. Vitamin A deficiency is associated with impaired immunity and increase risk of infection.

Bioflavonoids

Are natural plant compounds shown to promote immune response to virus’s and bacteria. They also enhance the absorption of vitamin C and protect it from damage.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin)

Studies have shown that Vitamin B3 significantly boosts the number and effectiveness of neutrophils, or white blood cells that target infections.

Copper

The immune system requires copper to perform several functions and even mild deficiency has been associated with impaired immune function. Copper is recommended in conjunction with zinc when in supplement form.
